Dr. Aristides Gogoussis / Δρ. Αριστείδης Γωγούσης
Dr. Aristides Gogoussis is a Professor of Robotics in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the International Hellenic University, Thessaloniki, Greece.
He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering (Diploma with highest honors) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 1981.
He also holds 2 Master of Science Degrees (in Mechanical Engineering and in Electrical Engineering) from the University of Minnesota - USA, and 2 Doctoral Degrees (one in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Minnesota, and another in Philosophy, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).
He is a Fulbright scholar and has been the recipient of several other distinctions. He has authored many original papers within his areas of expertise. He also holds International patents in fields such as Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Medicine, etc.
His Academic interests span the areas of Robot Design & Automatic Control, Theory of Functional Design, Synthesis of Engineering Systems, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Technology. He is particularly interested in conceiving and converting innovative ideas into useful applications through patents.
His hobbies include piano performance, music composition, sketching, athletics.
